Our Story
A small studio in Carmel-by-the-Sea
What started as a gallery on our little coastal main street has slowly become something more: a place where a piece of Carmel can travel home with you, wherever home is.
I'm Lucy. I throw every piece of pottery you'll find here by hand, in a small studio, the old-fashioned way — no molds, no shortcuts.
How it's made
Every mug starts as a lump of clay on the wheel. It gets thrown, trimmed, left to dry, bisque-fired, glazed by hand, then fired again. It's slower than I'd like some weeks — which also means that when something's in stock, it's genuinely limited.
Two pieces never come out exactly the same, which is sort of the point.
Beyond the wheel
You'll also find a few things I've fallen in love with along the way: vintage finds, small-batch goods from other makers I trust, and pieces from Kookies — the kids' line we carry because I couldn't resist them either. Nothing here is mass-produced. Some pieces exist in exactly one.
Come find us
The shop is on Mission Street in Carmel-by-the-Sea, but if you can't make it in person, this is the next best thing. Glad you're here.
